New application from Nokia Beta Labs
Nokia PC Phone (beta )
It seems that guys over at Nokia Beta labs are pretty busy but also very creative and productive nowadays.
Yesterday I briefly inform you that their Download for PC applications got an update and today they surprised me with brand new application.
I’ve just start with downloading (14 MB) soft so I can’t tell you how it looks like in practice as I still didn’t tested it but according to Nokia Beta Labs, Nokia PC Phone is an experimental service that gives you a possibility to use your mobile phone with your Web Browser. You can call, text and manage contacts from your phone. You can also see incoming text messages as popups and you can answer to calls.
You can communicate by using Nokia PC Phone with your friends and family even though they don't have the Nokia PC Phone themselves. Your friends are not able to tell the difference whether you are using the Nokia PC Phone or not, because your calls and text messages are actually made from your own Nokia phone.
The Nokia PC phone is a browser extension/plug-in and it works with Firefox 2.x or Internet Explorer 7.x browsers.
You are welcome to use the Nokia PC Phone service in your daily mobile communication. Use it while at work - send your SMS's from your PC QWERTY keyboard. Find out who said what and when from your past SMS logs. Make calls with a simple mouse click. You can even make a call or send a text message when browsing a website that contains phone numbers; also you can store the number to your phone contacts!
