The new North American optimized Nokia N95 is available at the Nokia Flagship Stores in New York and Chicago and should be soon shipped to a growing number of independent retailers in major markets including New York, Los Angeles, Miami and San Francisco.
The Nokia N95 will also be available from Nokia’s online store and multiple online retailers with an estimated retail price of $699.
The handset has been making waves since its images were recently leaked online, especially because it brings support for the US 3G networks and fixes some crucial downsides of its predecessor and cause lot of complains from the disappointed and jealous European users. Users that shouldn’t be disappointed at all because they'll soon be able to get the 8GB version of the same phone and will be even better deal.
Anyway, let’s go back to the topic, the Nokia N95 US, support for the N. American 3G frequencies and allows users faster data transfer. Beside the support for the US 850/1900 MHz frequencies it brings some changes in design as well, mainly to free space for larger battery.
The complete back side of the phone including the camera lens and trigger are redesigned to make possible to put Nokia BL-6F battery with amazing capacity of the 1200mAh!!
Last but not the less important phone is equipped with 128 MB of SDRAM Memory which basically means that you can expect around 80 MB of free executable RAM memory, well done Nokia.
