+ Altec Lansing Soundblade Is Incredibly Thin!

18 September 2007

Turn Your Mobile Phone
Into A Genuine Sound Machine

Soundblade Bluetooth Speaker Altec Lansing has announced a series of new portable Bluetooth and corded speaker systems for MP3 enabled mobile phones, iPods, laptops and other portable digital devices, in addition to their latest PC speaker system for flat-panel displays.

Listen to the music files on your Stereo Bluetooth®-enabled mobile phone*, or take a call. Either way, it’s headphones-free with the Altec Lansing SoundBlade Wireless Speaker System. An amplified extension of your music-enabled mobile phone, the SoundBlade replaces headphone listening and delivers high quality, crystal-clear sound.

The iMT521 SoundBlade Stereo Bluetooth speaker system, a sound panel that features dual 2” full-range speakers and stereo Bluetooth, is equipped with AVRCP for two-way remote volume, mute and track forward/back controls from a cellular handset.

It also packs a built-in echo-canceling microphone for wireless speakerphone capability. The “blade-like” design measures 6.125” H x 11.125” W x 1.0” D and supports both AC and battery (AA) power.

  • Big sound from an ultra-thin design
Altec Lansing speakers enhanced with SRS Trubass technology deliver a powerful, immersive experience with the perception of deep, rich bass. And at just 1” thick, the SoundBlade goes where you go.
  • Crisp, clean sound
    Two custom-built 2.5” full-range speakers deliver a strong performance.
  • Speakerphone
    A built-in, echo-cancelling microphone turns your Stereo Bluetooth® mobile phone into a first-class speakerphone.
  • Easy to set-up
No cables to connect, and pairing between your mobile phone and the speaker is automatic.
  • Two-way wireless control
Use your mobile phone like a wireless remote to control speaker functions, or use the speaker to control music functions on your mobile phone.
  • Voice-activated dialing
The SoundBlade picks up your voice from several feet away.
  • Shielded design
    GSM/CDMA shielding prevents speaker buzz

It runs from AC power or AA batteries, measures 6.125” H x 11.125” W x 1.0” D, and costs US$129.95, available from November.
