U.S. Version Of Nokia N95 Approved By FCC!!
Really busy days for the folks over at FCC labs, mainly because Nokia preparing lot of new models and pushes them to work really hard.
After approving Nokia N95 8GB before its official release that should be at the big Nokia event in London 29th August, they have approved another Nokia N95 clone and actually confirms North America version of the flagship Nokia phone, recently spotted Nokia N95 US.
The handset has been making waves since its images were recently leaked online, especially because it brings support for the US 3G networks and fixes some crucial downsides of its predecessor and cause lot of complains from the disappointed European users.
However, we shouldn’t be disappointed at all because we just got the confirmation from the FCC that Nokia preparing the 8GB version of the same phone for the European markets that looks a bit different (smaller navigations keys that reveals some more space for the better HR screen I hope) and comes with 8GB NAND memory chip (just guessing) and possible better screen will be even better deal.
The most interesting is the trend that FCC gives approves before the official release and therefore becomes one of the leading sources for the upcoming phones and huge problem for Nokia as the leading source of confidential information.
Anyway, let’s go back to the topic, the Nokia N95 US, support for the N. American 3G frequencies and allows users faster data transfer over the HSDPA just like in Europe.

Beside the support for the US 850/1900 MHz frequencies it brings some changes in design as well, mainly to free space for larger battery. The complete back side of the phone including the camera lens and trigger are redesigned to make possible to put Nokia BL-6F battery with amazing capacity of the 1200 mAh!!
Unfortunately it seems that this model doesn't have the 8GB of flash memory, but it does have a MicroSD card slot so the memory problem will be easily fixed with the upcoming 6GB and 8 GB microSD cards.
Also, same as with 8GB version there is no indication from the documents if the RAM has been expanded but I am pretty sure that they’ve fixed it as it is one of the crucial downside of the Nokia N95.
