The Amazing Nokia N95 8GB hits FCC!!
Well it is not secret that Nokia N95 isn’t the perfect phone, it has some downsides like RAM or battery or screen and music freaks will complain about build in memory as well but in my personal opinion it is still the best nonqwerty phone in the markets!?
Now try to imagine what happens when Nokia decide take our complains and feedback seriously and release remarkable improved version? Well its hard to say, I am simply speechless, still not sure am I dreaming or this is for real?
The phone that just appeared on the FFC, recently rumored as Nokia N95 8GB looks simply amazing and the only thing that I don’t like is the fact that phone is dressed in the black completely and that the CZ optic lacks any kind of protection.
If we can believe to the user manual that can be found at the FCC site phone definitely features the 8GB of build in memory, probably Samsung’s 8GB NAND memory but at the same time there is no word about expandable memory slot for microSD card and that the one of the things that I don’t like it.
Sure, 8GB is the respectable amount of the storage capacity but still card slot will be more than welcome feature especially for the photographers.
Just like on the already spotted N95 US version there are some cosmetic changes especially on the back side, the camera lens part that is simplified radically and now lacks any kind of the lens protection and the camera trigger as well.

Unfortunately this sketch doesn’t shows the microSD card slot :( |
Beside that the multimedia keys are improved a lot and it will be much easier to feel it and control it with no looking. Speaking of the design changes what takes my attention is the resized control keyboard, d-pad and all keys around, possible to reveal some more space for the larger VGA screen? I hope yes, actually I can’t find any other reason why some will reduce the size of the main navigation keys?
Last but not less important is the better battery that will last at least 24 hours in average use I hope, actually cosidering user manual it is definitely BL-6F battery.
There are some changes in the software part as well, redesigned the multimedia menu and some tips about the Nokia music store and long awaited new Nokia gaming platform that should be released this fall.
Unfortunately there is no word about the OS or platform update or at least the addition of the Feature Pack II and appropriate flash lite v3 that finally brings the Adobe Flash Player video format from the desktop to mobile phones.
That’s all for now, more at our forum section of course ;)

The new MM menu!
