Forgetful?
It Might Be caused by Your Mobile Phone?!??
Can't remember your new girlfriend's birthday date? Can't remember your home phone number? Can't remember where your keys are or you even can't remember life before mobiles?
According to some latest studies, the boom in mobiles and portable devices that store reams of personal information has created a generation incapable of memorizing simple things.
A Japanese study has found that people are now becoming dependent on computers and mobile phones, resulting in our brains being understimulated, which can cause severe memory problems.
The study, carried out by a team of researchers at a Japanese university, says that in today's world, people's reliance on electronic devices for even the simplest tasks is dulling our minds.
A recently released report says that in the United Kingdom, one fourth of the population doesn't know their phone numbers at home and about one third only knows and memorizes important anniversaries and birthdates.
According to the study, thanks to the increasing use of computers to store information, adults in their 50s and 60s have better memory capacity rather than people in their 30s and below, who have grown up with computers and other devices.
So what you think about guys? I would like to hear your opinion on this one?
To be honest I don’t think that 50 and 60 year olds have a better memory than people in their 30 like I am, but I do agree that we use technology more than we should and that I need assistance of my mobile to remember some family birthdays although I’m pretty sure that I knew all of them in life before the mobiles?
Is it situation with smartphones is even worse, are the smartphones necessarily makes the forgettable and stupid user, lot of question and I would like to hear some answers ;)
