Augmentra updates ViewRanger,
adds new features and support for internal GPS
(N95, E90, 6110)
Augmenter has updated its S60 off-road sat-nav application. It now supports the built in GPS on the Nokia N95, Nokia 6110 navigator and upcoming Nokia E90 and track recording in any location worldwide, along with a host of other features.
ViewRanger version 2.3 contains a number of improvements, many of which have been
requested by customers. In particular this update includes enhancements suggested by Cyclists, Mountain Bikers, Geo-cachers, Skiers and Joggers.
ViewRanger transforms your Smartphone into a clever mapping and outdoor navigation tool. ViewRanger is the ultimate off-road GPS guide, with software that not only takes you places, but shows you what's there when you arrive!
ViewRanger is simple to use - making it perfect for the occasional tourist as well as the regular outdoors activity enthusiast.
ViewRanger makes Ordnance Survey maps available on Nokia smartphones for the first time. Dedicated GPS receivers are typically expensive and offer only a basic map display with limited information and no connectivity.
ViewRanger is the first solution to combine high quality topographic maps, off-road GPS navigation, and panoramic viewpoint maps in an integrated, simple to use application running on smartphones.

ViewRanger consists of a mapping application and digital maps, all stored on your mobile handset. ViewRanger will display it's mapping and POI without requiring a mobile network connection. You will need a mobile internet service if you want to access the ViewRanger Information Exchange or use Buddy Beacon.
All of the maps below include the ViewRanger software, a 1 to 1 million scale overview map of the entire country, a 250,000 place name searchable gazetteer, a user manual in PDF format and the maps of your choice. Most screens in the ViewRanger software have their own page of Help accessed through the menu.
