Sony Ericsson P1 UIQ smartphone
to be introduced soon
Yeah I know; that’s the phone that we wrote about a few days ago and name it as P700i but finally it appears as the P1 which is quite strange as it looking much like an M600i successor.
However, just like other phones from P family it has runs UIQ platform, latest version 3.0 on top of Symbian OS v9.1. It has a touch screen display with handwriting recognition, integrated QWERTY keyboard, UMTS, Wi-Fi and VoIP supports.
Its tri-band GSM/GPRS 900/1800/1900 and has support for 2100MHz UMTS networks, large 2.6" QVGA TFT display, 3.2MP sensor along with auto-focus, RDS capable FM receiver, A2DP BT profile and 160MB of built-in storage. Also it seems that it will be shipped with preinstalled Opera 8 browser and an RSS reader.
That’s all for now, I guess we will get more from SE press release soon.
