Suggest the questions for upcoming interview
with Mr. Aoki from Nokia Japan

In coming days we will interview Mr. Kazuto Aoki from Nokia Japan, he is Total Offer Manager and also working for Product Marketing. He has introduced the N93i exclusively to group of the blogers on the CES 2007- so that man is the one to ask when it comes to N93i questions!

Our Michael Hell (alias BeerBong) will interview Mr. Kazuto Aoki soon, and I just wanted to quickly remind you that this interview will not be a one man show; on Symbian Freak everyone gets a chance to ask question and get the answer.

So if you want to ask something interesting, here's your chance to ask and hear the answer, instead of just reading it as usually.

Note that we probably won't ask the any question, so if your question is, like, "Hey, will you give me the brand new Nokia N93i for free" we might not get to it. Sorry.

Or as the our Michael say:
“I want YOU guys to do a little brainstorming and post questions you have in your mind, regarding the Nokia N93i!

I will send them to Mr. Aoki and he is ready to answer them for you! I think that's a real good way to give Nokia a little Feedback, as well as YOU get answers on questions you have in your mind! I really hope you like it! “

In short, if you have something on your mind, please leave the comment at our forum section or send it via the mail to Michael.. ..

Sure I have so many questions that I would like to ask and my own list is listed below but we are really want to hear what additional questions would you want to ask here.

Firs of all, battery! There is enough space for lead-acid battery of 65Ah!? Why Nokia don’t uses BP-5L battery in N93i!? In my personally opinion 1500mAh is the must have capacity for the video recorder?

Also, correct me if I am wrong but in my personal opinion there is enough space for 2nd speakers!? Isn’t it pretty ridiculous to know that phone capable to capture sound in stereo technique over the build in pair of microphones isn’t able to reproduce it on the same why!? Why it still provides just a mono over the speakerphone, there is enough space for 5+1 system

However the most important thing for me is the soft, OK I understand that hardware could have some limitations (which is hard to believe in such a huge brick body) but why the soft remains the same!? Is it new theme all we got with this “i” thing!?

Why n93i doesn’t follow the trend of the large useful and multifunctional external screens? Dear Mr. Aoki I think that you have to agree with me that N93i is pretty huge phone and that there are some tricky situations and places where the phone is not admitted and working with such a huge phone could be pretty embarrassing.

I’ll not repeat same questions about miniUSB or 3,5 mm or stuff, because I understand that this n93i thing is just a temporary solution till the real N93 successor and all real improvements are reserved for that phone. But I’m going to ask if you are allowed to confirm such a phone?

Oh yes, I almost forget to mention that crappy pop-port is still on the wrong side!!! It really isn’t very handy to use this phone in the TV mode while the connector is in front of you, it just has to be from the back, especially considering wobbly pop-port connection! If you didn’t get me than just try to imagine the joystick connected from the front side instead from the back!!

Another irritating thing that remains the same is the shoelace of the camera cover, it still has the ugly big plastic part in the middle that can easily fall among the keypad and the screen while closing the phone and make scratches over the unprotected screen just like with N93! Please, please, fix it with successor.

As usually I also have to mention screen, you see, QVGA resolution dose not sounds very impressive nowadays, not at all, and I’m just curious when we can expect better screens from Nokia!? Is to much to expect ~3” screen with VGA resolution or even better WVGA on the successor?

Why there is no FP1!? Why we are still forced to use older “Safari version” while the great improvement version introduced long time ago with FP1? Is it so hard to add FP1?! If answer yes it is! Than why we can’t update browser?! Why it isn’t released and included as standalone application that can be updated recently!?

Speaking of the soft, I just have to say something about camera! Sure I know that N93(i) is aimed to be the best recorder among smartphones but phone with such a huge camera part, optical zoom and dedicated camera mode just has to has better soft. Its shame that we lack some trivial features!

In conclusion, even considering that I’m in love with form factor completely, actually it was love at first sight, long lasting love that still remain I’m forced to leave it and switch to crappy sliding form factor that I don’t like and use N95 for some time. All that just because the features are the most important thing on my wish list and N93i just can’t beat N95 in any segment apart from the form factor and optical zoom.

With just a slightly improved soft and addition of the FP1 I’ll seriously think about spending some money on it but in situation like this there is no reason why should I choose this piece of hardware instead of N95, situation actually becoming even worse considering that there is no real reason to upgrade my N93, not at all, it’s the very well known thing that facts like design, height, width, length, size or even price are completely irrelevant from my stand point, features before all and N93 loosing the battle in terms of features completely!!!

On the end I’ll just say that I hope that Mr. Aoki will be able to give me some constructive answer.

Last but not the least sorry if I have missed something but I just don’t feel very well nowadays, I’m sick actually, influence, nipping, not sure what is it, but I know that its the really ugly thing.

Kind regards,
Sincerely yours,
Teo
