According to Nokia,
E-Series business smartphones are on schedule

HELSINKI, March 14 (Reuters)
The world's largest handset maker Nokia said on Tuesday it was on track to start shipping its E-series of corporate phones by the end of the month.

"We are on schedule and we will begin the shipments this quarter and the first E-series deliveries will happen this quarter," said Nokia Enterprise Solutions division spokeswoman Maria Kellokumpu.

The handsets are designed to work with a range of mobile e-mail systems and are part of Nokia's goal of winning more of the corporate market, which is dominated by RIM's BlackBerry.

"The orders will be delivered as they come," Kellokumpu said, adding there had been a lot of interest in the E-series devices.

Nokia unveiled the E60, E61 and E70 handsets in October, saying they would ship in the first three months of this year.

With just two weeks of the current quarter left, the devices will likely only start shipping in volume in the April-June quarter.
