I?ve just found something interesting on another forum, here it is with many thx to HubSwitch
I was miffed at the battery lasting less than a day BEFORE I changed a setting in the phone, now I can enjoy 3 maybe 4 days use now before having to charge. I am not a big user, nor do I text alot.
what did I do?
The phone is great for WiFi isnt it? of course it is, but its even better if you turn the power setting from 100mW to 4mW, in doing so (it would appear) that:
1 My phone stays switched on for longer periods
2 I am STILL able to connect to WiFi AP at long distances!!!!!
Symbian code error??
Worth a try?
Menu - Tools - Settings -connection -Wireless LAN - Options - Advanced settings and say YES to the prompt - scrol down to TX power level choose options/change/ and select 4 mW ok it and see how it affects your battery life and WiFi connections, you can always turn it back if your not happy!

Thanks heaps!
That's an excellent tip, I didn't know that part of the menu was even there! I have changed mine now and will let you know how much more life I get from the battery.
Cheers,

Hy, this trick is working great on my n80...
because tis is for sending files via Wlan... so you can connect to wlan on long distances and my batery is better now.. but because im using my phone a lot it is empty after two days.
so now i can use my n80 on full power and doing all and battery is half empty after a day

4mw reduces the range of the wifi, hence saving battery power instead of searching at longer ranges.
As for n93, i will go check that out right now to see if i can switch it.
