Preview Of Mozilla's Mobile Browser For Maemo 5 Platform On A Nokia N900
Couple of months ago, Mozilla, the nonprofit organization behind Firefox, has rolled out first public BETA version of Fennec, the long awaited mobile version of the their very popular desktop browser for Nokia's Linux based Maemo platform with hope that fully backed Fennec mobile browser could be ready to run on consumer smartphones by the end of the year for Windows Mobile and S60 devices.
Apparently, it seems that Mozilla will keep its promises and is planning to bring Mobile version of Firefox browser to the N900 in the next quarter, despite fact that Finns' native browser is powered by Mozilla technology with full Adobe Flash 9.4 support that in combination with high-resolution WVGA touch screen and fast internet connectivity makes mobile web browsing far more en... .. .

I really love da zoom feature tht nokia has fitted into tis browser..
And firefox is my all time fav browser..

me and my wife have a contract each endung the same time, we can now both upgrade, still 2 months left tho on the contract, she just upgraded to the samsung jet today but i'm holding out for the N900 so i heard it should be out in OCT. i pay a high tariff so i should get this phone free maybe. On Vodafone

The zoom is rubbish, lets face it, its gimmicky and doesn't work that well if you look at the examples on video so far. What you see happening is the browser window moving around and then zooming, but not to the position orginally intended...
This browser looks awesome, but it lacks the most important feature of a mobile browser - reflowing text on double-tap to zoom. The omission is awful in my eyes, and likely means that this will fail to surpass Opera Mobile 9.7... Definitely a step in the right direction though...

it actually has double tap to zoom, plugins will let you change gestures...

I'm well aware it has double-tap to zoom - thats not the important bit. The important bit is the reflowing of text on double tap, without that the zoom isn't particularly useful I'm afraid.
