Image

Do you remember Samir, yeah that Samir? The very talented French developer who changed the way we use our lovely phones!?

Well, Samir is alive and he has decided to move on and after months of preparations, AikonLab is finally online and the long awaited nAlertMe utility is released as freeware application and first public beta version is ready for download!

What is the best way to protect your phone against nasty thieves? I know, most of you would say treat your phone like the cash in the wallet, keep it in the pocket, never leave it unattended and you?ll have no problems at all. Sounds as pretty good solution but unfortunately it's not always practical to carry the he... .. .

Fixed it - I had to uninstall both the python & MM pack thingy.

This app is simply perfect.

Samir, good to have you back, hope you are in good health too?

The acknowledgment "Chirps" are brilliant.

Graphics nice and clear

Good amount of time to pick up phone, flip it to and fro, before the alarm sounds.

Considering this is the first Beta it is well on its way to becoming a market leader.

Well done.

Kind regards

HeliFella.

As the official first tester I can't leave it alone.

My wife is trying to work out the flip combination with no joy hahaha.

Good chatting with you Samir.

Good to see Samir back and well

Loving the app already, I also had the update error message but only had to uninstall the mm pack to get it to work, I think its because nAleartMe installs the RDA accelerometer app and causes a conflict with the one already installed with the mm pack.

P.S This is the best symbian site on the net with some great advice. keep up the good work guys :D

An idea for the future Beta's

Ability to override powersaver and keep screen lit up whilst NalertMe is protecting.

This will show potential thieves a visual warning.

I don't think this would drain the battery much as I wouldn't expect users to leave phone protected for long periods of time.

Maybe have this as a settings option?

Regards

HeliFella

PS I agree MMPack may only have to be removed, but i'd already uninstalled Python app.

Me too had a troubler with "Update error" so this is reason why i edidet nAlertMe.
So, if somebody is getting "Update error" so I'm ataching version without "RDAccelerometer.dll" (this is making this error) so u have be sure there u have before installed other version of "RDAccelerometer.dll".
100% works, changed and tested by me =)

sry for english =P
Here is link to download it:
