For N95 v30 & N95 8gb v20 to fix Menu bug.

Watch the Video to fix the menu, BUT got to do all over again when you off and on your phone. Got a bit of typo error in the video... but should be ok.

Works for me on N95 8gb v20, Should work on N95 v30 too.. try it and reply here.

That is a lot of work for something I feel is not really an issue...:?

i found out that you don't need to install rotateme or reboot at all, here what you do:
you activate autorotate in the settings
1.go to menu
2.click options and exit
3.at the standby screen rotate the phone to landscape
4.enter the menu while the screen is still in landscape
5.rotate the screen back to portrait
6.rotate the screen back to landscape and portrait again
and there you have it, a nice menu with big icons.
p.s: the steps aren't as complicated as they seem, and don't require hard work, it's pretty easy.

Thats great HBZ.

I see it does make a large difference to the menu so perhaps not so useless. I stand corrected

The steps are very quick and I rarely reboot my phone anyway.

Thanks

Thanks chuud & H.B.Z.

We have some bright guys here on symbian-freak. I was just going to post my thoughts on V30.0.0.15 & found your post. The worst part of the update was these stupid small icons. Anyone with poor eyesight would find them difficult to read.

chuud, how did you discover this, was it just pot luck messing with the phone ?

Thanks again. Perhaps someone will come up with a permanent fix for this. :)

PS

Also ASR is crap. Not a patch on RotateMe.

bidboy, the thing i prefer about asr is that it's more battery friendly than rotateme.

You are probably right, but I don't use it all the time. Also it can rotate in three direction's, which is nice. You can also adjust the sensitivity. ASR is a bit 'sticky'.
