Hi !
I just wanted to know if there is any application that allow to make video-chats / video calls through WiFi ?
I have an E90, and sometimes would appreciate to video-chat or maybe even video-call some one...
I know that with live messenger I can take a snapshot, but no video chatting...

It would be great to be able to switch from internal to external camera either.

Any idea?

Thanks a lot.

Dogward.

Quite out of curiosity.. Why do we have the front camera anyway ?
I've never heard of anybody ever using it for anything.. (mirror not counting)
Also, which country/network supports the video calls anyway ?

firemode, many 3g networks support video calls. I believe either Palringo or Fring do video chats, but not sure. :hm:

And by googling "video chat messenger s60 v3", I came up with mention of various apps with that function. :yeah:
Why not check them out and tell me which ones you may like to try.

Dear dogward,

There is a free application called TIVIPHONE that give us opportunity to do video chat with voice DIRECTLY BETWEEN MOBILES over wifi or gprs without 3g service...

I have tested it and works great over wifi or gprs...

You can call directly other mobile which has tiviphone installed or pc which has tiviphone pc client installed...
You can use either front camera or back camera and you can switch them during conversation... Also real time voice transfer is available during video chat...
To do videochat with voice between two mobiles, both must have tiviphone installed...

Just register yourself from the web site for free and install and login from program... After that you can call your friends who has also registered from the site and tiviphone installed in their mobiles... Hope this helps...

MAIN WEB SITE:

What is TiVi Phone ?
TiVi Phone is a free software product that enables to make and receive VoIP calls, real time video calls, and also provides a chat function. More over - the communication between Tivians is for free.....
