Barbelo

Barbelo is a wireless (WiFi) security related toolset for Symbian S60 v3. It currently supports, in a primitive form:

* Standart netstumbler/kismet like functionality.
* GPS support to map networks.

Roadmap

The plan is to implement the following:

* Aircrack like functionality.
* IP-over-DNS.
* VAP support and other crazy stuff?

Really like this application... Works like a sharm. I saw that Andrea Bittau has released a update earlier:

barbelo-v0.3.sisx (31/05/08). Re-released on 01/06/08 to support pre-FP1 phones (e.g., e65) - http://darkircop.org/barbelo/barbelo-v0.3.sisx

GPSd-v0.2.jar (06/05/08) - http://darkircop.org/barbelo/GPSd-v0.2.jar

You'd be surprised. Users new to wifi commonly use WEP, or merely leave their networks unsecure. Wireless is becoming more prevalent in homes in America now that smartphones and wifi capable gaming devices have hit the scene.

How can this app crack a WEP key? I'd heard you'd need a sophisticated tool to do that...

works on my E51
It would be nice if hidden WLAN SSID can be shown
potential of being the killer app. Great work!
