Unfortunately, Nokia N900 is unauthorized hardware and according to Nintendo,: Introduction of emulators created to play illegally copied Nintendo software represents the gre... .. .

Wait... wut?
How can Nokia be in infringement if it's not Nokia that's developing the emulators?
Unless I'm mistaken it's 3rd party devs who make the emulators therefore Nokia cannot be responsible. Maybe i'm mistaken or somthing

AFAIK developing of emulators is not illegal at all and the only problem is illegal ROMs downloading :hm: but I am not sure either.. . .

I think Nintendo is investigating all smartphones, but Nokia demonstrated some emulators in a video on their official blog, not so smart. Thats why the emulators are gone from maemo.org and the video

Ya. That may have been a bad move on Nokia's part trying to show what the device can do. Maybe this will start licensing between Nokia and Nintendo? Imagine if Nintendo brought their games to Nokia powerhouse devices for very small fees. In the long-run, Nokia could sell more devices using the Nintendo brand, and Nintendo can get money and free advertisement.

Then again, why pay for it when you can get it for free, although illegally? Maybe that idea wouldn't work.

Very bad the emulators are gone! Is there any way else that I can get them?

By the way, how can I follow a Topic (to receive notifications by e-mail) without having to post something?

There should be a link on each topic that says "Subscribe to Topic", its at the top of the thread on the orange theme and at the bottom of the thread on the mynxx theme, just click that and you will receive emails each time there is a post to it

i think there is some slight legal issues involved with the emulators too, aparanentlly only registered game developer companys should have them..

i read this somewhere, but im really not 100% certain about it either, dont care either lol, i allways use emu on mobiles, beats the hell out of carrying around a snes or megadrive in your pocket
