excellent news, all now i have to do is wait for it to land on tmobile usa to get it at a subsidized price because im not paying again for full price device especially from nokia and repeat the n97 story

hy guys, since n900 is shipping that means it will be available soon. so i found about one site called http://maemo.org so there is also Maemo 5, so everything that is under maemo 5 i can download and install on n900?

Yeah it seems so, many apps are still in alpha stages though, but whenever I press the arrow to get those files with an extension *.install, I get a 1kb file, so not sure how the download really works there, maybe only from the device itself?

Hmm I think the .install contains some link to some repository or something. linux way I think

this is how a .install file looks like:

This seems to mean unfortunately that the main way of downloading apps is through the phone connection. if so thats bad, I dont have a wlan available
