rcadden wrote:hot, dude, congrats on such a hot exclusive!
Thx Ricky, nice 2 C U here after while
rcadden wrote:Need to know several things:
Sure
rcadden wrote:1. Battery size/capacity
Battery is BP-6MT, nothing radically new here, it is lightweight Li-Ion based 1050 mAh battery that can be found in N81 and E51.
rcadden wrote:2. Is that metal or just chrome?
Unfortunately it is just a chromed plastic, I would like to see some real metal parts like on 6110 navigator. From other hand this is early proto model so maybe something will be changed till the official release.
Matta wrote:3. Screen size ?
Comparable to N/3 and it features the QVGA resolution
Matta wrote:4. Weight and size ?
Again, comparable to N73
Matta wrote:5. OS version ?
Symbian OS v9.2, S60 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 1
RockerZ wrote:did u actually get this cellphone , or is the review by someone else ? ? ?
Can?t give you that info, sorry, I already have too much problems to keep site alive and I don?t need another one with Nokia
rulirahm wrote::hmm: what phones that use the Font size feature?
All FP1 devices!??
rulirahm wrote: Is the Rotate screen same function with the new RotateMe 2.0?
Yes, that?s it basically.. . .
Lokesh wrote:do u think further firmware updates on the n95 will come with the auto rotate feature?
Not sure either but it doesn?t matter really as it is possible to implement via the 3rd party soft!
Lokesh wrote: also what is the screen res on this phone? and is it the same size as the n95 8gb?
resolution is QVGA while the screen is smaller than on N95 series and therefore shown picture looks better because of the smaller pixel size!
bidboy wrote:Great. Here at last. So many questions.
I am ready to answer on all of them, one by one
bidboy wrote:Battery size ?
Answered above
bidboy wrote:Card slot ? (16gb will soon be here)
micro SD, no cards in the package, actually there is no package it is the early proto model.
bidboy wrote:Metal body or flakey chrome ?
Chromed plastic but this is proto so I can?t telly you how it looks like with the final production model.
bidboy wrote:Camera cover ?
Looks solid, simply to use, very well protected from accidental lens opening.
bidboy wrote:Hope to see a full review soon.
Do not expect I am not reviewing proto models
rulirahm wrote:And the RAMThe total we have and how much we will have after boot.
It is obvious from the given photos, 120/90 MB
ars850 wrote:Wow congrats Teo.. Whats the max external mem can it take?
Just like with the all FP1 devices, there is no limit, any microSDHC card, up to 32 GB practiacally.
ars850 wrote: how much comes with it?
Answered, there is no any kind of package, it is the proto and it comes as stand alone piece of hardware.
mariokarter wrote:Amazing pics, hope the final production unit looks a little bit nicer though
I hope so.. . .
mariokarter wrote: So what are you in Dubai for? SF isn't based out of there is it? .
NO SF headquarter isn?t in Dubai but this is the good reason to go there isn?t it?!?
mariokarter wrote: Any idea when this will be announced, and can we get a pic with the shutter open please, .
Will do it for you
mariokarter wrote:and of the non speaker side of the phone please? .
I have update the article and add a photo on your demand.. .
mariokarter wrote: Also please tell me it triband HSDPA, I don't know if I can wait for a north american version.
Can?t test it in this network environment unfortunately.. . .
marty3 wrote:great article teo, as allwaysthe photo sample is a little dissapointing tho impo
10X my friend, appreciate it
topline wrote:From the free ram pictures, looks like demand paging is there too.
Yep, but I can?t confirm it

topline wrote: Hope they bring the autorotate to the other phones. Theres always rotateme.
Yeah, as I said, we have 3rd party solution so it is not that important.. . .
topline wrote:So every N series phone from now on till touch ui going to get that multimedia menu.
It is indeed trend on N series devices.
eagle-slayor wrote:wow Teo you are really lucky!.
Yes I am, finally some good news for me.. . .
eagle-slayor wrote:hows the flash compared to n95?
Xenon is simply incomparable better, will try to make comparison photos.
eagle-slayor wrote:can u show us the rotation?
Video?
eagle-slayor wrote:software changes comparing to N95?
Soft is basically the same as we getting with N81.. . .
eagle-slayor wrote:if u can take videos of above 2 pls do so.
can?t promises anything. .. .
eagle-slayor wrote:thank u so much.

50cent wrote:Does it use a navi-wheel?
Yes it has!
Martius wrote:I know that everyone ask but is there any release date? November, December, some Nokia event....?
There is an event, Nokia event soon but I can?t tell you anything more about.
Martius wrote:And which colors will be available? Black, metal...?! White?
God knows.
naofireblade wrote:Samplepicture is done in Dubai right?
Right!
naofireblade wrote: btw, is this nokia graphic chip built in the N82, like it is in N93 and N95?
Still working on that, I have to make few more tests, will keep you informed.. . .
sid_n95 wrote:Great work.
Thx bro
sid_n95 wrote:This is a great phone for someone who doesn't have an N95 variant.
No doubt, for photography enthusiasts especially
sid_n95 wrote: IMO the slide adds class to a device!
Don?t care about really, features before all!
ars850 wrote:Teo , Hope you can produce a vid on this new lovely device.
Can?t say NO to lady so you?ll see the video sample
user6300 wrote:But They should have 2 things at MINIMUM a high resolution display and a TOUCH Screen!....
Agree, QVGA is pretty outdated nowadays but unfortunately we?ll have to wait a bit more to get the better touch screen from Nokia, they are working hardly on it
user6300 wrote:Not good RAM... at least 256 MB should be there.... ROM is also very poor. not sure how these phones are targeted... especially if you see the metecore improvements from N80 through N82
tend to disagree with you, speaking of the RAM 128 is enough at the moment but higher is always better and I guess that touch devices will features more RAM:
user6300 wrote:Any word on Processor Speed? is it same old single core 369MHz processor? consider at least 600 - 700 MHz Processor
Working on that but unfortunately all available soft fails to detect it
heineken702 wrote:hey Teo .... I stumble on these ... it does look ilke you're the only 1 who has it
We have an exclusive, all net is full of the links back to SF
You can expect some more info soon, photos, videos etc.. . .

im not sure if you are saying those are good or bad devices
x500 (the x goes before the numbers( sucks pretty much (even for you, it has a qvga screen, 64mb of ram, slow procesor, a2dp sucks big time... only gps is nice
x800 is the same basically (regarding to those specs) but with vga screen and a bit faster procesor
no clue on what phone to buy

Ah NP, I am just happy 2 C that U found it attractive actually
BTW:
As I have already said, I am not sure jet, I have to make few more tests afternoon, the problem is that all available soft fails to detect the processor so I have to try one nasty trick to be sure
