Hello,
Unfortunately E65 has a bug with long passphrase. More information can be found on nokia's forum. You can do nothing about it except of changing your access point passphrase to a really short one.
Nokia keeps refrain from commenting it. Whenever you write to them they do not answer this particular question.
Sorry...
(I have got exactly the same problem...)
If anyone manages to get some more information/firmware let others know.
Thanks
PS. Note that E65 is a crap

It would be a great phone if it has less bugs.
I found out yesterday (unofficial source) that nokia is planning to release a big update for e65 in next weeks. But it's not confirmed...
Regards,

I've downgraded my e65 from 1.0633.18.02 to 1.0633.18.01
lost all my network branding, chose Euro 1 Black Variant, lost most of the bugs in the process.
I used Phoenix 2007 to do this, and a copy of the firmware lying on the net. There's also a new dongle crack which makes the process easier.

^ cant post link as it's proprietary software.
I can say it's available via gsm hosting board under the BB5 nokia section
