Sygic announces the compatibility of its Mobile Maps turn-by-turn navigation application with the new Nokia Maemo mobile phones. The application will get ready for sale from Sygic web site e-shop by the end of 2009.

Turn-by-turn voice guided navigation software Sygic Mobile Maps converts mobile phones into full-featured navigation devices. Sygic now extends its current compatibility range to support the new Nokia Maemo 5 OS devices. Further operating systems supported already are iPhone, Symbian, Android and Windows Mobile, incl. Windows Mobile 6.5.

All currently available regional apps for other operating systems are in progress to be available on Nokia Maemo... .. .

Still no news of a release date, but I'm waiting patiently (well sort of)

Has anyone heard any new info, or seen any other standalone satnav packages for Maemo 5 / N900 :?:

By the way 1st post :hello:

let me know about that copy i`d write a review in return..

I just got my n900 today & i gotta say alot better than the garbage n97.

In which i still gotta send that off for repair since it kept forcing me to remove the battery every other time just to power on.

hopefully they give me a brand new replacement so i get the most out of it on the resell.
