Skype To Be Deeply Integrated Into Maemo 5 OS

According to a spokesperson close to the development, Skype mobile team has confirmed that they’ll bring the world's leading Internet communications experience to the Nokia N900 and that Maemo 5 client will be available when the first hardware ship by the end of the month.

The Skype experience will be part of the address book and instant messaging software together with other services such as Google Talk, Jabber, Nokia IM and SIP clients that are deeply integrated in the software and with this in mind, N900 will deliver one of the best VOIP experi... .. .

wow, the N900 is already being called the "world's most advanced smartphone"??!!
I think, first, it needs full java support, MMS and FM radio. Otherwise it is just an "open" smartphone.
Actually, there is one phone who came across the same history, a couple of years ago, without MMS, java and fm radio, but with a beautiful UI that everybody loved, it was called i-something, I don't remember. I just know we throwed rocks and stones on it in that time, but now when the story dares to happen again (but with multitask), we say nothing...
I'm much intrigued. Seriously.

Yup, the skype pc to phone calls work perfectly, and the integration is so good it feels like youre receiving a call from a cellular network

It's the begining of the end for mobile operators.
