How 'official' is this?
Im thinking of cancelling with Amazon UK and going with Mobilephonesdirect who run the UK Nokia stores - they should get them first, shouldnt they?!

I'm not sure this is 100% Officail.
I've just been speaking face to face with the Product specialist at the Nokia Flag ship store in the UK, and he said there is no official release date yet...
So it might be true but it hasn't been announced by Nokia yet...
MaemoExpert on Twitter says that the online release will be the 9th which is this coming Monday.
I do know that the Nokia flagship store are opening a Maemo lounge either this week-end or next week, where they will have 5 N900 for people to play with, and experts to chat to and ask questions

I was on order with Amazon UK, but i have changed to mobile phones direct - seeing as they run the UK nokia stores one would presume they will get it first, besides they are the cheapest:
MBD: £449
Amazon: £469
Nokia UK: £499

Only thing that's stopping me from buying from MPD is that i've never bought from them at all and I don't fancy the idea of spending 500 quid just based on someones say-so about somthing
