Sittiphol's NeuScreen Application Goes Open Source!

If you are for a long enough than you are well aware of Sittiphol Phanvilai's ?Neu? series of concept applications and his ?NeuScreen? an award winning application in Calling All Innovator Contest that is open source now which makes this innovative technology one step closer to hit the end users.

Those of you who want to know, ?NeuScreen? is the MultiTouch like screen engine for Nokia S60 3rd ed devices that using real time image processing on Nokia N95 and same us NeuTuch doesn?t requires any additional equipment beside the IR gloves!

The latest version of NeuScreen brings lot of improvements and cool new features. There is no need for IR pen in this version because it has been improved to IR glove whic... .. .

Awesome!!

Been waiting for this to be released since it was featured on Sittiphol's forum Nokia page.

I built a smiliar thing using the N95 8Gb as a webcam, a Wii-mote, and my PC, but this is obviously way smarter.

Going to have to fire up the old soldering iron, and get building some IR Gloves :)

IR Filter = Camera Film Negative - Or you can buy some expensive solution, but the best and cheapest way is to tape a film negative over the Camera of the N95.

The glove is going to be a little harder to build, but something similar to the link below, (but with IR LED's of course!), would suffice.

The only thing I'm going to have to learn is how to compile the source code! (EEK!). Working on it though when i get time, so hopefully this weekend I'll have something!

Great news !
In the zip file with the source code you find several sis files
So you don't need to compile the source code
