Nokia's Handwriting Calculator Updated
With Scientific Functions and UI Improvements
S60 5th Edition version of the Nokia’s Handwriting Calculator touchscreen devices has just been updated and brings support for scientific functions like sin, cos, tan, ln, etc.
To use them, you need to drag and drop the function symbol from the top of the screen to an appropriate position. Directly writing function symbols does not work in this version yet.
Furthermore there is support for the math constants ‘e’ and pi which you can write directly, addition of the help system and the minor UI tweaks including the new icon which looks quite better than the generic one from the very first beta version.
Nokia Handwriting Calculator is an application that allows you to calculate handwritten math expressions with touch-screen Nokia devices.
Although it is just a showcase of the Nokia’s new handwriting recognition technology it is surprising accurate and useable!
Very useful and very promising technology I have to admit and I am really curious what application we can expect to get in the future based on this innovative handwriting engine!?
Application is available for Nokia S60 5th edition as well as for Linux based Maemo platform and Win PC OS.
In case you are one of lucky Nokia 5800 owners you can get the application below and to impress your friends and colleagues with your brand new phone and improved handwriting recognition technology.
