Digia Announces Digia @Web
Finger Friendly Browser for S60 5th Ed
Digia Plc announced today the first version of their @Web finger friendly web browser for S60 5th edition devices based on the Qt 4.5 platform. Digia @Web is a cross platform, full finger touch control browser providing new and intuitive access to the web content.
Running on widely adopted webkit engine Digia @Web provides state of the art web browsing, which is now available for all devices that can support Qt such as Nokia N800 and N810 Internet tablets, and now Nokia's S60 5th Ed devices.
Now available for S60 5th Edition Digia @Web is the best choice for surfing the web. It boasts a full finger touch UI and renders the web as it is intented using the state-of-the-art webkit browser engine. Now available as beta @Web for S60 is already a versatile browser providing direct page control with finger, multiple browser windows, url auto-complete and automatic full screen browsing.
Mobile browsing is gaining popularity due to increasing amount of WLAN access, flat rate 3G data and WiMAX. Digia @Web empowers users with browser designed to give the optimal mobile browsing experience. Direct access to true web content is achieved through the full finger touch browser interface designed by Digia.

Digia @Web has solid foundation in the widely adopted open-source Webkit browser engine and a whole new type of browser UI that gives powerful and intuitive access to true web content – with full finger touch control. Earlier created for UIQ phones Digia @Web is already in commercial use. Designed to be available first as 3rd party add-on to Qt enabled devices Digia @Web for Qt is also suitable for wide range of Qt enabled embedded devices. Other users of the Webkit browser engine include Apple Safari browser, iPhone, Google Android and Nokia S60 browser.
Throughout the years Digia has utilized Qt across various different domains including desktop, embedded and mobile. Along the way Digia has gained significant skills in Qt and Qt Extended with more than 120 SW engineers experienced in working with Qt. Digia is Qt Software Premium Business partner and licensee, as well as Training partner providing several different training tracks for Qt.
