The Coolest Weapon Ever Gets An Update!
Now Supports 3rd Ed FP2 and the 5Th Ed Devices!
Graham has just informed us all about the major update for his famous Light Sabre application for S60 devices.
Thanks to the inclusion of the new S60 Sensor Framework, the coolest weapon ever is now compatible with the Nokia's devices based on the 5th edition of the S60 platform (Nokia 5800 & upcoming Nokia N97) and brings an improved finger friendly user interface.
Although it is developed for and tested on the Nokia 5800 only, it should works with 3rd Edition, Feature Pack 2 devices like Nokia N96, Nokia N85, Nokia N79, 6210 Navigator, as well as to Nokia E66 which is based on the Feature Pack 1.
Anyway, is you have been living under rock for the last few months I’ll briefly inform you that Light Sabre is applications without real purpose but it's still cool as it allows to use your phone as a Light Sabre with a pretty impressive sound effects.
Application actually uses the Nokia N95 Accelerometer Plug-in package to hook into the accelerometer and transfer the movement into cool sound effects.
New version allows complete control over your Sabre via new settings menu that not keeps settings and adds some new features like vibration.
Here is the complete list of the new features:
- Vibration support with Sabre Tingle™
- Set up your sabre technology™ including
- Set Volume
- Set Sensitiviy (from 8 (little movement) to 120 (fling across room for swing)
- Set Vibration On / Off
- Set Hit Detection (Auto detects strong movement as hit, Random, causes random hit effect slightly more responsive)
- Set Sabre Colour (Green, Red , Yellow, Blue, Magenta, Cyan, Orange);
- Setting are now saved.
IMPORTANT install to internal memory ( C:/) drive (known defect) For best results turn off auto screen rotation in phone settings (otherwise you’ll get lag in the sound when the screen changes)
Don’t forget to make a small donation to the developer, as I have already said somewhere, few beers less or more who care ;)
