+ EQ Alt Tab - App switcher for S60 devices!

EQ Alt Tab
Application Switcher for Symbian S60 Devices

EQ Alt Tab

Alt <=> Tab is the common name for a keyboard shortcut on Microsoft Windows 3.1 onwards used for switching between top-level windows without using the mouse.

Since its introduction in Windows, the Alt-Tab keyboard combination has also been incorporated to other widely used operating systems, such as Mac OS X and free software desktop environments such as KDE and GNOME and finally Symbian, yeah you read it right, I’ve just found a small little Russian utility that brings similar functionality to S60 3rd edition device.

In fact, it’s not the alt-tab, it is the Pencil + C but it closely clone the Windows alt + tab feature and brings a completely new dimension to S60 multitasking.

If you hold the Pencil key down and C key it will cycles you through all of the applications that are currently running. When you let go of the Pencil key, the identified application becomes the active application.

Although it features pretty simple UI, EQ AltTab is completely configurable. You can change the hot keys and icon size as well. The really handy feature is the ability to completely ignore some of the application so they’ll not be listed in the selection pop up window even when they are running in the background.

Further more it supports auto boot up and it acts as the system application that is not listed in the task manager and works completely in the background.

Hats off guys, great piece of soft that makes my Smartphone even smarter and working with S60 phones getting closer and closer to desktop experience ;)
