RealVista Desktop - Evolution
Get the Vista Look on Symbian S60 platfoprm
First of all I have to admit that RVD is one of the best flash based themes or maybe is better to call it Flash Lite application that I have ever seen. It is fully capable to simply change your phone style into Windows Vista without changing ANY system files or damaging your phone.
Of course, this is not the first attempt to brings the Windows looks like UI to Symbian devices, there are few flash applications that promise Windows experience on S60 devices but unfortunately all of the m including this one fails at the most important part functionality!!!
It is undoubtedly nice to look at but no matter how nice it looks like I am pretty sure that you’ll newer use it because of the poor functionality.
Actually putting Windows UI on the Symbian phones is out of mind in my personal opinion, Symbian is leading platform with a reason and implementing the UI form the inferior platform over the leading user interface at the moment isn’t very smart move.

All in all it is the very nice idea with a pretty good realization and eye catching Vista like interface and especially nice Clock screensaver but as I have already said the whole concept will fail to reach huge popularity because of the terrible usability that is not even close to the classic S60 UI and to be completely honest with you I’ll rather choose some Vista them for S60 interface than this sluggish flash thing.

In a matter of fact the only real usage of this application is to impress your friends by cheating them that your phone is powerful enough to run the Vista OS.

In short, I don’t like Vista even on the desktops and I am still forcing the good old XP on most of my machines. Windows is undoubtedly good for your desktop but its mobile version completely sucks on mobiles and is completely inferior to other Mobile Operating system. After all I am Symbian Freak because I love Symbian OS and S60 UI and I really don’t want to run Windows like OS on my phone.

Anyway, speaking about application, it is developed in Flash and requires the v 2.1 for proper work or a phone with preloaded flash lite like Nokia N95 or N82. I have tested it with latest Flash Lite version (3.0) that I have installed on my phone, and it works just fine, I took bunch of screenshots to show you how it looks like. I have also hosted the application on the Symbian Freak server because developer has huge problems with bandwidth.
Below the screens shots you can find full user guide, where is the explained how to get it to work and how to setup software.
