FLVPlayer v1.0
Play the Web Movies Locally!

FLVPlayer v1.0Looking for an easy way to play FLV (Flash Video) files downloaded from YouTube or any other video sites on your phone? If answer is yes I think that I’ve just found a pretty good solution for you.

FLVPlayer is a freeware standalone application for playing flash flv video files. This one is a bit different than the recently released MobiTuiba, emTube and Samir’s YT player because it is strictly aimed for offline work and playing files locally, while the other three solutions are mostly aimed for online work, searching and getting the videos directly from the YoutTube on several different methods.

Although it is the local player only this utility can come in handy if you already have a huge collection of FLV files stored on your HDD and you don’t care about online services and/or you don’t have enough good data plan for searching and downloading online videos.

I’m in daily contact with average Symbian users and I know that most people don't need anything more than the good and easy to use local flv player and this application is the pretty good solution. It offers a bit more control over your viewing, it’s exceedingly simple controls allow you to rewind videos, zoom it and it easily change the playback orientation.

Furthermore there is an option to set the playback quality and it looks like the right solution for the owners of the not so powerful older 3rd edition phones. It allows searching for the videos stored on the memory card and plays the videos stored in the c:\data\videos folder of the phone memory.
