PyWidgets for S60
Display system info on the standby screen!

PyWidgetsYou may have noticed some increased activity over at our forum section lately with a lot of open minded and interesting discussions and what is even more important we got lot of people interested in developing and they are also very active and productive nowadays.

Bongoman just released PyWidgets, Wook is working on the Renamer application for the 3rd edition phones and finally I am testing the latest Damian's (he is brain behind the pySnake, pyPiwo, pyRybka, pyMoneta, pyPoziomica, WakeUpMe, pyEkran, pyGenerator, pyGadacz, pyRestart, Lottomat and lovely PC application Signomat) product developed in Pythoin as usually, great piece of soft that is in the final stage of the development and will be released in next few days.

Anyway, lets go back to the topic, PyWidgets is the is small and simple but jet useful Python utility capable to draw widgets, actually small windows and enables you to place important system information on the standby screen in real time.

This is the early alpha version, application is still under heavy development and for now these windows incloudes only date, battery, disk and network information.

Author is planning to implement more windows with more information and of course it will be possible to change the window color, size, corners as well as automatically loads the windows on the certain coordinates.

PyWidgets PyWidgets

All in all very promising software, you should give it a try and if you have some constructive suggestion for improvements please don’t be hesitate to reach Mr. Bongoman at our forum section and to help him to make a better soft.

To get it to work you have to install latest Python version and megaPyModulePack if is necessary. It is also high suggestible to install application, Python and module pack in the phone's memory (C: drive)
