CalSync60 Sync your 3rd edition
s60 device with your google calendar

I have been looking for a good way of syncing my google calendar with my nokia s60 calendar for a long time now, and finally yesterday i have found the greatest way to it.

This simple but very powerfull small s60 application, will sync your phones defualt calander with your google calendar over a GPRS or wireless internet connection, and it does it amazingly well.

I have tried several other java applications that are supposed to do the same thing, but just fail to work properly, but this amazing CalSync60 which is a native symbian application, from the developer from s60Addons has created the best method for syncing your online google calendar, and does it with just the press of a button.

Im sure i am not the only person that uses the google calender quite heavily, and also would like to sync it with there s60 device? if im not, then here is how to do it. It really cant be more simple. First of all, download and install CalSync60 (download bottom of this page) once installed, you will notice a nice new icon in your Applications, or my own folder on your menu.

Get the Updated Version

Simply open the application by clicking the CalSync60 icon within the menu, and then the application will start which will show you a date of the last update (as seen in above screens) 1st time starting, there will be no date.

From here, simply press options and then settings. No technical settings needed here at all, just your Gmail email address and your Gmail account password (as seen in above screens). This is to allow the CalSync60 application access to your google calendar to retrieve the data then convert it and load into your s60 calender, all notes stored in google calendar will be included in your s60 calender, even the alarms are included

Once set up, simply press options and then sync to start syncing. This will sync both ways, any new entrys on the phone calendar, will be updated online with your google calender and visa versa.

This really is a great application, but please be aware, this application is still in public beta testing period, and it does recomend backing up calender before use. But i have been playing with it for 2 days now, and no problems what so ever, really is a great application for me as i am a very heavy user of the great google calendar. This application combined with handy calender is the killer calender combination, trust me

CalSyncS60 provides two-way synchronization between Nokia S60 phone and Google Calendar. For example, when you add appointment to Google Calendar it will appear also in your phone calendar. Just start the application and hit sync.

Before downloading the application, please ensure which version of the S60 platform you have in your phone. You can do it easily at S60.com.
CalSyncS60 is only available for S60 3rd edition phones.

Disclaimer:
Please note that this is a very early stage beta version and some calendar features are missing e.g. recurring events.
Also there may be issues regarding event synchronization etc. So it is recommended that you backup your calendar with PC Suite beforehand.
I will try to provide new versions but I'm pretty busy currently so it is possible that I don't have time for updates.
Even though please send your feedback to me and I'll see what I can do. If there is massive interest for this application, I may try to free some time for this also.
This version will expire 15th of May, 2008 so come back for new versions.
