Light Sabre Gets An UPdate
Now
Compatible With Samsung's INNOV8!!
Graham has just informed that new version his famous Light Sabre application is available and now supports Samsung S60 devices, INNOV8 (i8510) to be precise!
This is really great news for all the Samsung fans and I just hope that other developers will follow Graham’s example, take advantage of recently released Samsung's S60 developer's portal and port their applications to Samsung devices.
Graham also working on optimizing the application code and including the new S60 Sensor Framework that was introduced in S60 5th Edition but is also backported to S60 3rd Edition, FP 2, as well as to some FP 1 device like the E66.
This basically means that Nokia N96, Nokia N85 as well as Nokia E66 version of the application is on the way and that owners of the latest S60 phones will be finally available to test some cool accelerometer based applications.
Anyway, is you have been living under rock for the last few months I’ll briefly inform you that Light Sabre is applications without real purpose but it's still cool as it allows to use your Nokia N95 as a Light Sabre with a pretty impressive sound effects.
Application actually uses the Nokia N95 Accelerometer Plug-in package to hook into the accelerometer and transfer the movement into cool sound effects.
New version allows complete control over your Sabre via new settings menu that not keeps settings and adds some new features like vibration.
Here is the complete list of the new features:
- Vibration support with Sabre Tingle™
- Set up your sabre technology™ including
- Set Volume
- Set Sensitiviy (from 8 (little movement) to 120 (fling across room for swing)
- Set Vibration On / Off
- Set Hit Detection (Auto detects strong movement as hit, Random, causes random hit effect slightly more responsive)
- Set Sabre Colour (Green, Red , Yellow, Blue, Magenta, Cyan, Orange);
- Setting are now saved.
